The ESČ Mark represents a permanent conformance of properties of marked products with standards concerning the electrical safety. The ESČ Mark is one of the oldest symbols for a safe product in the world. It was first granted in 1926 and the importance of this Mark has practically not changed for more than 75 years of its continuous existence. The ESČ Mark is a symbol for a safe product, which is well known and requested by professional and non-professional circles.
At the same time, the ESČ Mark is registered at the European Standard Committee - CENELEC as the Czech Mark of Conformance with electrical safety standards and equals to other marks issued by well-accepted world testing laboratories.
On the basis of this Mark you will be able to get internationally valid certificates and Conformance Marks. To obtain the ESČ Mark, it is necessary to have your product tested within the range of type tests and to have your production inspected by the manufacturer. Such inspection is directed towards checking the safety of your product carried out directly under fabrication. You can acquire the ESČ Mark practically for all groups of electrotechnical products tested in our institute.
ETL Listed Mark
"LIGMAN Lighting USA supplies luminaires that have been tested and certified by ETL to UL Standard 1598 for use in The United States of America and Canada"
The ETL Listed Mark is an alternative to the CSA and UL marks.
ETL Testing Laboratories has been conducting electrical performance and reliability tests since 1896. Intertek Testing Services (ITS) acquired ETL from Inchcape in 1996. ITS is recognized by OSHA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), just as Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and several other independent organizations are recognized.
ITS tests products according to nearly 200 safety and performance standards. The ETL Listed Mark and C-ETL Listed Mark are accepted throughout the United States and Canada when denoting compliance with nationally recognized standards such as ANSI, IEC, UL, and CSA.
This certification mark indicates that the product has been tested to and has met the minimum requirements of a widely recognized (consensus) U.S. product safety standard, that the manufacturing site has been audited, and that the applicant has agreed to a program of periodic factory follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance.
If the mark includes a small US and/or C, it follows product safety standards of United States and/or Canada, respectively.
LIGMAN luminaires have been tested and certified by an official independent third party laboratory in Czech Republic according to European safety and quality regulation, IEC 60598 2-1 and CE declaration and tested for IP rating.
CE marking indicates LIGMAN products are compliance with the requirements of :
- Low voltage directive for electrical safety (73/23/EEC as ammended by 93/96 EEC)
- EMC directive for electromagnetic compatibility (89/336/EEC as amended by 92/31/EEC)
